Project Overview

Transformed the 3,400 sq. ft. retail space of Chico’s within the Jax Millhouse into the vibrant Café Beignet restaurant and bar. This project involved a comprehensive demolition and interior renovation, which included a complete overhaul of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to accommodate the operational needs of a full-service restaurant and bar.

I led all phases of design and construction administration, ensuring seamless coordination from concept through to completion. The project also involved securing state historic tax credits and navigating the approval processes of multiple agencies.

Cafe Beignet at Jax Millhouse has since become a renowned location, blending the preservation of historic charm with modern functionality, demonstrating the delicate balance between historic integrity and contemporary design.
