OAR MENTOR
A project that demonstrates a communication system linking three key participants in a mission, along with UI/UX features tailored to the specific needs of each role.
MY ROLE
Led a team of undergraduate designers, managing project scenarios, task assignments, and team coordination. Conducted research and consulted with a military expert to ensure accuracy and relevance in the designs.
Develop user interfaces for military applications, such as the Apache helicopter and M1A2 Abrams tank, delivering interactive prototypes with a focus on usability and accessibility.
MAIN GOAL
THE CHALLENGE
Timeline
Week One: Research & begin planning
Week Two: Wireframing
Week Three: UI Execution
Week Four: Project Wrap-up & Fine Details
During this project, my goal was to create a communications system between the commander, the foot soldier, and a data anylist throughout the course of a make believe mission. The challenge with todays military systems can be factors hindering efficient communication, and decision making. This project showcases the use of AI and how that can improve these possible problems.
THE RESEARCH
All information used in this project is fictitious. Information used to aide this project along is all public domain and accessible. I began this project by read the article linked below, and brainstorming ways to implement AI for military aid. Research to understand the basic functions of the currently implemented devices in the military was conducted, promising a more accurate user interface for the U.S. military. Heavy research into to the current military thoughts on AI was also taken into consideration
